The final Report of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) has been published today and may be accessed here.

It makes a number of recommendations to keep children safer and sets out the main findings about the extent to which state and non-state institutions failed in their duty of care to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation and makes recommendations for reform.

Fiona Scolding KC led three of the investigations into the Church of England, schools and religious organisations, which fed into the final report.

Ben Fullbrook acted as Junior Counsel on all three investigations. Ben was also Junior Counsel to the Church of England.

Galina Ward KC represented the Secretary of State for Education in a number of strands of the investigation.

Christopher Jacobs represented 60 victims and survivors of child sexual abuse in seven of the strands of the investigation (Roman Catholic Church wider investigation; Birmingham Archdiocese, Ealing EBC, Nottingham Councils, Accountability and Reparations I and II, Residential Schools). He also acted for former senior Council members and officials in the Lambeth Council Investigation and appeared on behalf of former police officers, Maggie Oliver and John Wedger on the child sexual exploitation and leadership investigation.
