Hearings into the examination of the County Durham Plan

The programmed hearings into the examination of the County Durham Plan have now closed.  Held over eleven days between 22 October and 4 December, the examination considered a number of issues including housing need and supply, green belt release, heritage, design, infrastructure, minerals and waste. Graeme Keen QC and Alistair Mills appeared for Durham County Council. Sasha White QC appeared for the Theakston Estate Company Limited and the Trustees of Lord Durham’s 1989 Voluntary Settlement, instructed by Lichfields.
