Overview

With Matthew White in the Chair, Zack Simons KC, Dr Ashley Bowes, Joanne Holbrook and Fiona Sawyer will discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by the Planning and Infrastructure Bill as amended by Committee, including an overview of:

• Environmental Delivery Plans (EDPs) and the Nature Restoration Levy;

• the new arrangements for planning fees and planning committees;

• new spatial development strategies; and

• changes to development corporations and compulsory purchase.

The team will also provide an update on implementation of the new grey belt policy anticipated announcements such as:

• new policy guidance on viability and new National Development Management Policies (NDMPs), both expected in spring 2025; and

• Towards the New London Plan - emerging policies.
