Alex Goodman meets with His Excellency President Barrow of the Gambia

Alex Goodman met last week with His Excellency President Barrow of the Gambia as part of his ongoing work on the draft constitution of The Gambia (commissioned by the British High Commission). He also met with the Speaker and other members of The Gambia’s National Assembly, the Solicitor General, the National Human Rights Commission, and with civil society organisations. Alex’s work in The Gambia follows his visit in November when he met with the leaders of the main political parties and with the Constitutional Review Commission. Alex is working with Sir Jeffrey Jowell Q.C. and Dr Jan Van Zyl Smit at the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law. He has previously worked on amendments to the constitutions of Myanmar and Palestine.
