A ‘riotous’ time at the Landmark Property Moot

The 1^st round of the Landmark Chambers Property Moot was held at Chambers on Saturday 11^th November 2017.  The Moot competition is now in its 4^th year, and we were delighted to host teams from 26 universities, competing for 8 places in the 2^nd round.  The students were appealing (and cross-appealing) against a refusal to make a possession order against an assured shorthold tenant who had participated in the “Referendum Riots” before taking his tenancy -  and whose presence, as a “convicted rioter and now infamous anti-Brexit campaigner” was causing concern to the other residents of his block.
