Gwion Lewis to advise South Korea on environmental law reform

DATE: 01 Dec 2011

Landmark Chambers is pleased to announce that Gwion Lewis has accepted an invitation by the government of South Korea to advise its law commission on environmental law reform.

The government-sponsored Korea Legislation Research Institute, based in Seoul, has launched a review of environmental regulation in South Korea as part of the "Green Growth" strategy of the current administration. Today, Gwion met representatives of the Institute in Paris in a summit hosted by the University of Aix-Marseilles, 'European and Korean Perspectives on Sustainable Growth'. Gwion will be advising the government generally on reform, but with a particular focus on improving access to environmental justice.

Later this evening at the Temple of Peace in Cardiff, Gwion will address the Welsh Centre for International Affairs alongside Wales' former Environment Minister, Jane Davidson, on the subject 'Environmental Decision Making: European and Welsh Perspectives'.
