Court of Appeal refuses permission to appeal in Stansted G1 and Eco-towns challenges

The Court of Appeal today refused permission on renewed oral applications in respect of challenges to: (i) the grant of planning permission for increased use of Stansted the G1 proposal (Barbone v Secretary of State for Transport [2009] EWHC 463 (Admin)); and (ii) the Governments Eco-towns policy (Bard Campaign v Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government [2009] EWHC 308 (Admin)).

Tim Mould QC and James Maurici appeared for the Secretaries of State in these cases.
