DATE: 21 Jul 2017

Acting pro bono, David Nicholls appeared on behalf of the appellants in the Court of Appeal on 20 July 2017 in the case of Dickinson v Casillas.  The case concerns the correct construction of a deed of transfer granting easements over the appellants’ land, whether any implied or ancillary right should be granted, and whether there has been a substantial interference with the rights granted.  The appeal was heard by Longmore and David Richards LJJ and a reserved judgment is anticipated in the autumn.
