Dunsfold Park call-in inquiry opens

DATE: 20 Jul 2017

Christopher Katkowski QC and Richard Turney are acting for the Applicants in a Call-In Inquiry for a new settlement of 1,800 homes, a new village centre, two schools and employment space in Surrey.

Dunsfold Aerodrome was constructed in 1942 and subsequently used for the development of the Harrier jet. Latterly, it has been the filming location for "Top Gear", as well as a significant employment site. Proposals for a new settlement were refused by the Secretary of State in 2009. In December 2016, Waverley Borough Council resolved to grant planning permission but their decision was called in by the Secretary of State. The three week Inquiry is scheduled to close on 4 August 2017.

Charles Banner also previously advised the Applicants over a lengthy period.
