Two week Inquiry instructed by the Solicitor to Cherwell District Council (against Andrew Tait QC for Persimmon Homes) in respect of an appeal brought by Persimmon for 400 dwellinghouses to be constructed in an urban extension to Banbury. The Inquiry (called-in by the Secretary of State) was important because it involved detailed expert evidence on housing land supply data in the light of the then recently published Planning Policy Statement 3, which introduced significant policy changes in this area. The SoS dismissed the appeal in November 2007.
