Guy Williams acted for the City of London in its capacity as guardians of Hampstead Heath in resisting proposals to demolish Athlone House which overlooks Hampstead Heath and replace it with a Robert Adam designed Neo-classical palace. The Appellant argued there was a need for such houses for the international super-rich, and that the design was of exceptional quality. The appeal was dismissed.
