Home > Expertise > Cases > R(Berwick Street Properties) v. Westminster City Council (High Court)(2007)
DATE: 01 Jan 2007
Advised and represented claimant in judicial review of decision to vest compulsorily acquired properties in Soho when we alleged that WCC had failed to take account of ECHR considerations, change in circumstances and had acted with an improper purpose, namely to compel the owner to pay some of the development value to the Council. After a contested permission hearing, which was successful, we compromised the claim in July 2007 with Westminster agreeing not to enforce on certain terms.
