Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change dismisses first two English appeals against revocation notices under the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Regulations 2005

The Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change has dismissed the first two English appeals against revocation notices under the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Regulations 2005.

The appeal decisions follow hearings undertaken and reports produced by David Hart QC under paragraph 4 of Schedule 2 to the Regulations.

The first appeal was brought by White’s Recycling Solutions Limited against a revocation notice dated 20 March 2009 served on the appellant by the Environment Agency. The second appeal was brought by Premier Foods Group Limited against a revocation notice and notice of withholding allowances dated 17 April 2009 served on the appellant by the Environment Agency.
