High Court hears challenge to the Mayor of London's Revised Early Minor Alterations to the London Plan

The statutory challenge brought by nine London boroughs against the Mayor of London's Revised Early Minor Alternations ('REMA') to the London Plan was heard before Lang J on 13th and 14th March.

The claim, challenging the legality of provisions relating to affordable rented housing contained in paragraphs 3.63 and 3.68 of the REMA, was brought by the boroughs against the Mayor under section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

Nathalie Lieven QC and Heather Sargent appeared for the Claimant boroughs, instructed by Islington Borough Council.
