Neil’s experience in environmental work includes advising and appearing at inquiries on energy from waste projects, waste disposal (including UK Nirex) and waste incineration. He has extensive experience of advising on the preparation of environmental statements for major projects including gas storage (Holford, and Whitehill), urban development projects (housing and B class uses), and energy from waste. He has experience of the application of the Habitats Regulations at section 78 Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and enforcement notice appeals, and has advised on the effect of the regulations on section 36 Electricity Act 1989 applications for gas fired and biomass fuel generating stations.
